Simon Says Stamp & Show challenge: Thank You

I had intended to make something along these lines for Thanksgiving this year, so it matched up serendipitously with SSS&S's weekly challenge! 

I sandwiched a piece of burlap between cardstock and thin cardboard. A very appropriate piece of Tim Holtz paper is adhered to the cardboard (it features Thanksgiving recipes!) and strips from another sheet provides the "sentiment." Using gold Ranger acrylic paint and a Hero Arts stamp, I stamped a floral design on the paper. I sprayed the kraft leaves with orange glimmer mist and stamped words on them with a Hero Arts alphabet set. They are attached with copper brads. The fifth leaf was stamped with a Prima script stamp. I added a bit of twine from The Twinery and some punched hearts.

Thanksgiving Ornaments

G. and I finished our Thanksgiving ornaments yesterday.  They are made of patterned paper and cream cardstock sandwiched around thin chipboard.  I wrote the names of family members on the cream side and made the "We are thankful for" sign for the top.  The sign is a big crooked because it's resting precariously on a hook and held in place with a piece of Scotch tape -- this little metal tree isn't really designed for sign display!  I'm happy with how it came out -- I'm glad I saved some colorful leaves on a whim when we were raking and stuck them in a stack of books to flatten.

 

Thanksgiving card #2

 
I made three of these to send out to relatives that we won't be seeing for Thanksgiving.  It's a simple card with Bazzill Basics dotted swiss embossed cardstock as the base, a photograph I took for the front, with the sentiment added before printing on cream cardstock, and a piece of cream card stock inside for writing on.  I thought of adding some ribbon, but thought it was pretty as is.

This is a "hybrid" card -- that just means that part of it was created digitally. 

I made this simple card for an acquaintance using a piece of 4 x 6 Autumn Splendor card stock paper, ***** card stock for the base, and a digital postcard image from *** to which I added the Happy Thanksgiving sentiment before printing.  I used the EK Success Diamond Lace edger punch to add a little detail.  I could have added a button or something, but since I'm sending it in the mail, I didn't.
