I missed WOYWW last week and although there's not much going on on my table right now, I decided to jump in anyway! WOYWW is a weekly blog hop hosted by Mrs. Julia Dunnit and it's addictive! :)
It's a gloomy day today, but not pouring at the moment, so that's . . . something. ;-) I'm going through little bits I've kept for layouts (and my pseudo-Project Life) and writing things down on 3x5 cards.
The piece of fabric was part of a shirt that kidlet has outgrown and that wasn't in nice enough shape to donate to the rummage sale, so I "liberated" the decoration from the front. She does indeed "heart" horses and this will make it onto a layout about the Misty books that we've been reading together.
I made swatches for my mists and sprays, similar to what I did with the distress inks, and it's going to be quite handy. You'll notice on a couple of them that I attached a piece of black cardstock and a piece of kraft. I wanted to remind myself that I can use a couple of the sheer ones on darker cardstock.
Thanks for visiting my humble desk this week. As always, I'll definitely do return visits to those who post here and will try to visit all my number cohorts whose Mr. Linky number ends with the same digit as mine. So many things to do and so little leisure time to do them! My baseball team is in the playoffs right now and I'm halfway through a very engrossing book. So . . . like I said, I'll do my best. *sheepish grin*

Ah danger...a good book! Means there's no chance of me doing anything else till its finished! love the sight of your desk and its view, and my word.....have you enough twine?!

Wow! I've always wanted to keep better notes, but your organization of it has me drooling. I actually punch out small circles of the colors (sprays, inkpads, etc) and write them in a small notebook. That way the book is dual purpose, I can reference it to see the color I want and I can carry it with me, so I don't buy 6 bottles/pads of the same color (I've got 2 of several colors, before I figured that out).

Julia,
You've got me laughing with your comment about the twine. I really need to use some of it, no? I'm an unapologetic giveaway entrant and won the twine that way. I'll have enough until the end of time!!!!!

A lovely tidy desk, but you seem organised with all those notes and swatch cards. Enjoy your book and I hope the rain has stayed away.

I made a little swatch tag book for my Promarkers.
I have read a book today called The Templar Throne
by Paul Christopher. Kept me quite all day as I have been too poorly with a flu type virus to do any crafting today.
Happy Crafting.

Lovely swatches - and what a good idea to "repurpose" a favourite piece of clothing to decorate a project about favourite books! Have you read the Jill books too (Ruby Ferguson)? I was a ballet girl (Lorna Hill and Ballet Shoes all the way), but my best friend was horses, and talked me into Jill once - and I did enjoy it, but not as much as the best horse book of all (I think) The Black Stallion by Walter Farley...

You have been doing some really cool productive works! That's the kind of stuff that I like to do too when my mojo is low and so when I am ready I don't forget anything I was thinking about! Tamika#14
