Happy What's On Your Workdesk Wednesday, everyone! Time to party with everyone over at Julia's blog -- link up your own post and then visit some other folks to be sociable.
I'm writing this post while waiting for cupcakes to finish baking. I'm sending them in to my daughter's class tomorrow and typical of me, I didn't have paper baking cups (and texted husband to please pick some up on the way home) and then found I hadn't bought more butter on the weekend. He didn't get that text, so I went down to the convenience store and ended up with margarine instead of butter. Le sigh. So, I opted to save the butter I did have for the frosting and use the margarine for the cupcakes. While the cupcakes baked, I decided I'd mix up the frosting. Do I have the requisite 4 cups of confectioner's sugar? No, of course I don't. So, I'll have to get some in the morning (I'm sure the convenience store, if still open, doesn't carry any.)
Here is my table, waiting for me to actually make the Mother's Day cards. I printed up the sentiments on cardstock and will punch them out -- I don't have a MD stamp. If I mail them tomorrow, I should still be ok. :)
And here are some of the cupcakes. The frosting will be vanilla and then will feature M&Ms on top, per little miss.
I made four layouts over the weekend and have posted them over on my Instagram feed -- if you're on Instagram too, "follow" me and I'll follow you back. :-) Please forgive my laziness in not reposting the layouts here!
