Happy Wednesday and especially a happy WOYWW to visitors from Julia's blog. We all link up pictures of our work spaces and then visit virtually -- it's awesome. I'm a relative newbie enjoying getting to know everyone. :) I alway do a return visit to visitors here and then try to visit everyone whose number in Mr. Linky ends with the same digit as mine, plus some others. My day job does get in the way of this a bit. ha, ha
Here's the den, in progress. Since I took this picture, husband also painted the ceiling. The wall color is on hand, and I'm silently hoping that gets done today. Tonight we might go look for carpet.
Here are my temporary digs. Each time I take this picture I notice the old need-to-be-tossed sneakers on the brick hearth, and the jester hat that my husband received as a joke gift at Christmas. Need to toss the former and store the latter.
I played with alcohol inks over foil sheets on a tag and an embossed ATC last night. Pondering where to go next with them, but it was fun. And my left thumb is still a bit green.
I rarely put sympathy cards together ahead of time, so then when we need one, I have to get in gear. Unfortunately we have need of one, so I pulled out some suitable bits and pieces.
These are for happier occasions: The lanterns are for a high school graduation, the card with the flower photo is for a friend's birthday, and the thanks card is for my daughter's classroom teacher -- tomorrow is the last day of school for the year.
Thanks for visiting!
~ Laura
P.S. Someone told me she had trouble posting a comment, that it told her she was entering the wrong URL. No idea what caused that. I tried commenting myself and just left the URL box empty and it worked.
Lovely cards and I love your foil/alcohol ink pieces, really bright and interesting looking.
Happy WOYWW

I use alcohol inks on all types of surfaces, haven't tried foil, yet. Your cards are nice, sorry you are in need of a sympathy one...those are never easy.

Your crafting is lovely. The backgrounds with the alcohol inks are beautiful (I must get mine out again because I love playing with them). How lovely to have a newly decorated room - it will be wonderful when finished. Thanks for sharing your workspace with us. Hope you have a good week. Hazel WOYWW #87 x

Your alcohol ink tag and ATC are brilliant. Adore the colour mix and the stitching. Sorry you didn't win the toss for the Scrapbooking your faith book, I posted it off to Texas, at great expense, this morning!! Valerie @ #55 won the toss so if you are still interested keep an eye out on her blog for when she advertises the next pass. Melissa's blog has all the information about the book passing

Ah yes the throes of redecorating...I can empathize cause my house is currently a disaster zone. Soon it will be done and the agony but a memory. Love the projects you are creating in your makeshift craft room. I love the alcohol ink works! Vickie #23
