Happy Wednesday, fellow crafty-folk! This is the day each week when a bunch of folks choose to post pictures of their workdesks and link up over at Stamping Ground so we can visit each other.
There's nothing going on here, other than some cleaned stamps, so I'll show you some things I made over the weekend.
I used some of my new distress markers to stamp the image on the left. It appears I need to take my time and really cover the rubber well to get a more saturated image. Not bad.
This is for my daughter's teacher -- I'm ahead of the game, since school doesn't end for a few weeks or so.
Left page of two page layout. This took some time, as I wasn't certain what medium I needed to cover the "architectural" embellishments -- paint turned out to be best, after trying distress stain and distress ink. The package said you could use either of those, but the surface is kind of glossy and I decided they'd probably wipe off.
My ribbon flower is a bit oversized -- I think I should have made the ribbon loops shorter -- but I decided to use it anyway. Hopefully the "white space" helps balance it out.
And finally, a paint chip -- we're going to redo the room, which still has the faded little girl wallpaper and cutesy 90's style border that it did when we bought the house. I'm leaning towards Nautical, with off-white woodwork. We bought paint samples to try out. So, maybe by next WOYWW the room will be empty and I'll be displaced while the transformation takes place.
Long-winded today! Thanks for visiting and I'll try to get around to a lot of folks this week.

Hi Laura! What great natural light you have coming in right on your desk. I'm before you on the WOYWW list, so I want to send you an ATC. Please email me your mailing address and I'll get it out to you!

You sure have been busy. Darling layouts - aren't "little ballerinas" just the cutest. As for the paint chips (know I am not looking at true colors, but my vote is the middle one, yeah I know you didn't really ask for opinions, LOL.

I don't mind opinions. :) We actually got a sample of the Nautical and of the middle one (I think), so that could still be a contender. I want what Goldilocks wanted -- the "just right" one.

great looking projects you have done. I love your desk with all the light and fun things to play with. I loved the punch/hooking workshop and learned oh so much from Frank Bielec about how to do it. I used yarn and long strips of wool that threaded through the needle. It is different then latch hook where you use those 3 in pieces of yarn and hook it through fabric. This goes oh so much faster and actually makes a loop not a fringy end. Thanks for leaving a comment on my blog. Sorry I am so late getting by but figured better late then never!! Happy 3rd Anniversary of WOYWW! Thanks for sharing. Have a great week. Vickie #178

Thanks for stopping by my blog...I usually respond on there and then pop over but last week/this weekend got a little hairy so it seems its Sunday night and I'm finally here but...I'm not sure what my point is! Except to say thanks for stopping by and while your desk may not have much going on it certainly looks very productive! I'm happy for you that you are getting a fresh new paint job! :) I have a 3 blended color job on my walls but 2 of the colors look very much like the 2 darker colors on your swatch! They do end up looking really fresh and very nice, especially against white trim or in my case white cabinets.
Take care,
