I'm ignoring the fact that there are intermittent flurries in the air outside as I take this picture of my desk. The mourning dove who is "hoo hooing" out there says it won't amount to anything. :)

Here is a card I finished yesterday. I'm quite happy with this design and might make more as a set sometime.
And the layout I'm mostly done with. I can't decide if it needs anything else, so I'll leave it here to marinate until after work.
I'm not wild about the addition of the fuchsia camera (which I balanced with the washi tape in the bottom right.) It's ok with the pinks, but clashes with the tomato red of the minigolf bit. I probably need to get over it. :)
Happy Wednesday, everyone! And for those kind souls who wondered how the button project would work out and/or the canvas project from last week, there are thumbnails in the upper right corner of the screen that will show the final versions! (5th thumbnail down in the first column is the button project; 2nd thumbnail down in the second column is the canvas)
Thanks for visiting!

You keep a pretty tidy desk! I like your card design, too. I have a similar embossing plate, only it has birds sitting on some of the branches, and once I took 3 or 4 coordinating colors of ink and used them to accent the embossed limbs and leaves and birds, just smearing it here and there and it came out really well. Inks and embossing plates are fun to play with, huh?
Have a good one!

Deeyll, I think I might have that one, too. {blush} I can't resist botanical things! I'll have to try that idea sometime. :)

Looks like you have a great creative space with a great view.
I think the hardest thing sometimes is knowing when to stop, walk away and then revisit to see how a design fits.
I love the card.
Enjoy your week Neesie #12

Hi Laura, Great desk. I love the Distress Ink poster hanging on your wall. What an easy way to see what you have and have not. Great Idea! Your card is quite lovely. Have you ever entered things into Di's Snippet blog? (If you have I apologize...for not being observant.) You should, your card would be perfect. You may just see one like it on my blog page...that is if I can get my act together and get something done before vacation. Hope you don't mind if I borrow your idea. Have a most wonderful week..See your soon in blog land.

Mary, I think the saying is that imitation is the sincerest form of flattery, so I'd be honored if my card inspired you. :-)
