Despite saying to my husband that I probably wouldn't take as many classes at Big Picture Classes this year, I've already signed up for two and it's only February. For me, as much as it's about learning new things, it's also about continuous motivation and the community that gets built on the message boards. Everyone is super helpful and positive and it's a privilege to share my creations with my classmates. This probably sounds like a missive from the Good Ship Lollipop -- ha, ha -- but I think BPC is a total class act, as are their instructors.
Here are a couple of things I've made since May Flaum's The Curious Scrapbooker's Field Guide workshop [registration closes 2/15/2012 @ 10 PM PST] started last week:
Cupid Tag
I used Glimmer Mist with Tim Holtz seasonal masks, then stamped over
it with a Prima script stamp. Then I used Perfect Medium and the dry
Perfect Pearls powder with Girl's Paperie stamps (the key, and
ornaments in the corners.) Finally, I added gold Perfect Pearls Mist
over the top.
NYC 1986
I used Spun Sugar Distress Stain on the resist paper from Pink Paislee
to make the background and let the very ornamented design guide
where I placed things on the page.
