After a couple of weeks during the holidays where I did do stuff, but not necessarily on Wednesday, here my messy table and I are -- back again. :) To find out what this is all about or to find the linked list of other folks who are participating, go here. I took my pictures Wednesday evening and am just getting a chance to post them now.
I actually like leaving things out, in progress -- it makes it easier to jump back in. Well, except when it gets too messy (there seems to be a tipping point) and I need to neaten up to begin again. (Please note new MS snowflake punch and new Hero Arts bicycle stamp -- woo!)
This will be a scrapbook page when it grows up. I've got some scribbled notes from the first day of school, some pictures, and some pencils cut from that Cosmo Cricket paper in The Boyfriend line of a few years ago. Not sure what else I'll use, yet.
This pile consists of punched scraps that I always think I'm going to use and rarely do. I already made one card with them, and plan to make more before these are either added back to the scrap bowl or tossed.
I made the stamped part of this card while taking Jennifer McGuire's online class called Inspiration Showcase It's been sitting around forlornly ever since, so I decided to make a birthday card with it. I had just glued down the ribbon when I took this picture -- thankfully it dried clear, because it doesn't look lovely here! I like "simple," but I think I need something else to complete this card -- maybe some bling near the sentiment or some buttons or brads next to the ribbon? Can't decide.
And these are some cards destined for the mail -- two birthday cards and a thank you card.
Thanks for visiting!
Doesn't look like a mess to me!
May I be so bold as to make a suggestion?
Get some cookie sheets or trays - Oriental Trading has some inexpensive nic size cardboard ones - and use them to keep all the paper parts of your crafts together. You can even stack them (after everything dries) and free up your workspace.
It really doesn't look like I am following my own advice, but I am! I usually use paper plates to keep things together for small projects and then use the trays for larger ones. Right now I have about 5 paper plates stacked on the floor by my chair.
Thanks for sharing your photos and happy crafting!

Wow, you seem to be very in control...a bug old desk, like that could so easily run away from you..I know what you mean about the tipping point..but think I'm immune to my own, just now! Love the photo on top of the wannabe scrapbook page!

Your desk looks like mine. I've got several works in progress...I look forward to seeing your page complete. I have so many scrap shapes...I think I will use them, but rarely do...my grand daughter loves getting them. I think we crafters are so much alike..Enjoy 2012, I'll check back to see your finished page.

Your desk may be untidy to you, but it is a very organised untidiness. Before you throw those cut outs away, take a look at the "Use it Up in 2012" project (link on my blog). It has sent me back to my scrap box for matting and layering material today, saving cutting into another complete sheet. Maggie #72
