Persistence

We went on a nature walk in November in the Adirondacks and were amazed at the persistence of some of these trees. They insisted on living, even thriving, while rooted around a boulder. This shot came out grainy, unfortunately; it was too cold to play with the camera's settings and the default setting at dusk is easily "confused".
