Today I went to work and to choir practice

Today I hoped that an upcoming medical test for a loved one would yield a positive result.

Today I dreamed of somehow having more time to craft, read, and sleep.

Today I forgot to call my Mom after choir to make plans for Father's Day.

Today I heard my daughter sing her school's alma mater perfectly.

Today I said "I love you."

Today I read blog posts, Twitter posts, and Facebook posts, but no books. I need to make more time for that.  

Today I watched two episodes of So You Think You Can Dance -- my summertime show to relax with.

Today I believed that everything will be okay.

Today I felt productive, but tired by the end of the day.

Today I wondered how I will find the necessary motivation to get in shape.

The owner of the Acephalous blog is doing a presentation at MLA on memes.  He writes:

"I believe most memes are—to borrow a term from Daniel Dennett's rebuttal of punctuated equilibrium—"skyhooked" into prominence by high-traffic blogs. For my talk at the MLA, I'd prefer being able to quantify this triumphalism with hard numbers."

OK, I think this is a cool idea.  I saw the idea on someone else's blog, of course, in a post dated April of this year.

1. Grab the nearest book.
2. Open the book to page 23.
3. Find the fifth sentence.
